Gymnastics Class

It has been a long time since Melia was in gymnastics.  We used to go to a Mommy & Me gymnastics class before Makena was born.  We went up until about my 8 month of pregnancy, then it just became too difficult for mommy to climb out of the foam pit!

I took the opportunity to re-enroll Melia in gymnastics when LaFluer's offered a great special through one of the daily deal sites.  I registered Melia for an 8 week Tot's class.  This class was just for kids, so mommy sat outside and watched. 

Initially, she had a hard time going into the class. The same thing we go through with drop offs at daycare every morning.  Once she got inside she did great.  The class had great instructors to keep an eye on my wild child. 

She loved every bit of it.  The balance beams, the rope climb, the obstacle course, and most of all, the trampoline.  It is a great way for her to burn off some of her energy.  Melia is non stop all day long.  My little Energizer bunny.

We just finished her 8 week session and are planning to take a little break.  There are so many other things we have scheduled right now, I don't want to overload her schedule.  She is only 3, so there is plenty of time in our future for crazy extra curricular schedules!  When Makena is a little older and they can both go, I am sure we will be back!

Easter Weekend

We had a glorious Easter weekend in the Webb household.  We started celebrating on Good Friday by attending an Easter Egg Hunt and crafts in St Petersburg.  Saturday morning we woke up to participate in an Easter Egg Hunt on Redington Beach and a visit with the Easter Bunny.  Following the egg hunt (and some playtime at the park), we went to Coral Shores and spent the afternoon relaxing in the pool and at the beach.  Sunday morning Grammy joined us for Easter services at church.  We enjoyed a wonderful Easter dinner with extended family at the Lodge.   Grandpa Ed was able to join us and had a great time watching the kids hunt for eggs.  The girls had more than their fair share of candy over the weekend.  The Easter bunny didn't put any in their baskets, and most of their eggs were stuffed with other things, but they still managed to pick up plenty of sugar over 3 days of Easter Egg hunts.  But that sneaky bunny came back Sunday night and took back all of the uneaten candy!  Luckily, I don't think the girls have noticed it missing, yet...

Little Chef Melia

Melia decided the other night that she didn't want to eat what I was offering for dinner.  So daddy taught her how to cook cheesy eggs.  They practiced cracking the egg, putting it in the pan, mixing it up and adding the cheese.  She did a great job!

Such a good job, that she wants to make cheesy eggs on a regular basis now.  If you ask her, she will walk you through all the steps to make them. "you crack the egg like this, then break it apart like this, pour in the milk...".  Adorable!
