Today Melia had her first filling. Technically two fillings. I am devastated. I know I shouldn't be so hard on myself, but I am really disappointed. We do an excellent job limiting the sweets, sugary drinks, etc... But I have to admit I slack with the teeth brushing. I am not consistent with the girls and now she has cavities.
We get regular dental cleanings and I have been happy that we have gone this long. Sadly, I have many friends that have had two year olds with multiple cavities. But I still want the best for my girls and am really going to try harder with brushing moving forward to hopefully prevent future cavities.

Labor Day 2013
The Webb Family (well, Melia, Makena and Mommy) had a relaxing and enjoyable Labor Day. Daddy had to work. The girls actually slept in! After a quick breakfast we got dressed and headed to Coral Shores to spend the day at the beach. The girls had a great time playing in the sand and swimming in the pool.
Around lunch time, Aunt JJ and The Hunter's joined us for some family fun in the sun. We used the kayaks and took turns taking each of the kids out in the water. Melia got a little freaked out when Faith and I decided to paddle out and touch the buoy.
After applying sunscreen multiple times, wearing hats and sunglasses, and wearing long sleeve rash guards both girls still got way too much sun. My poor babies. Between the Scottish on my side and the English on daddy's side they are a sunburn waiting to happen. :(
After a long day at the beach, we went to meet Grammy and her friend for a cookout and some corn hole.
By the time the girls got their bedtime stories and climbed in their beds they were exhausted. Wishing everyone good dreams and a good night!
