In February, we took a Mexican Riviera cruise from San Diego. We visited Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas, Puero Vallarta and Manzanillo. It was an amazing family vacation to celebrate Chris' 40th birthday! I did post our vacation photo book to the blog so you can check out some pictures of our trip. Melia's quote of the trip, "take out her binky and her mouth works". :)
When we got back Melia started gymnastics class. She hasn't been to gymnastics since before Makena was born. I got a great deal on an 8 week session at a gym close to daycare. She has a lot of fun, but definitely needs to work on listening to the teachers. She gets so excited and wants to run all over the place! Melia is fearless and I love to watch her try everything at gymnastics.
Makena bumped her mouth on a game at Chuck E Cheese. It bled a lot and really looked like her tooth was loose and/or crooked. We called the pediatric dentist and Chris was able to take her in for an appointment. They said she did wonderful! They took an x-ray and she laid still while the doctor looked inside her mouth. Results - one tooth is loose and one is pushed back. She is on a soft food diet for two weeks while we keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get worse. And she is most likely going to need braces when she is older. Not the best news, but I am glad we took her in to see the dentist instead of leaving it unseen.
So that is the past few weeks in a nutshell. :)
