Makena's walking! Well, she took her first steps. She still prefers to crawl, but is taking more and more steps. Melia, Makena and I were at the playground at Largo Central Park on Saturday, October 8th. They have artificial grass in the new playground area so I was letting Makena crawl around and climb on some of the equipment. She was "cruising" the playground then took 3 steps toward me. I was sooo excited to see her walk. A few minutes later I had her try to walk to me while I backed up and she took 8 steps!
Yeah! Daycare promised that she didn't walk there last week, so I am officially taking credit for seeing her first steps. Look out world, here she comes!
