On Tuesday March 3rd, Melia took her first plane ride! We flew from Tampa to Detroit with a layover in Nashville. A smart mom would have booked a direct flight, but I am a cheapskate and booked with Southwest and had a layover. But she did great!
The first leg of our flight the plane was oversold. But luckily, we sat next to 2 labor and delivery nurses. They were great! The took pictures of us on her first flight, helped me with my bag and were great company. And because of their profession, I felt very comfortable nursing. That was my biggest fear with the flight.
Melia ate when we took off and landed. She slept the entire flight. Both flights! I really lucked out. Hopefully she will keep being this good when we travel. Mommy has lots of plans!
